Entry requirements

Applicants should have completed Year 10 (or equivalent), should be at least 18 years of age and be proficient in English.

Fees

A $1000 deposit is required on enrolment, payment plans available.

Class Time

Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
1 hour lunch and two 15 minute tea beaks.

Recognition of Prior Learning/Credit Transfer

All applicants have access to and are offered Recognition of Prior Learning\Credit Transfer. Qualifications and Statements Of Attainment Gained From Other Registered Training Organisations Will Be Recognised by Papillon Academy of Beauty Therapy.

Training Delivery

Theory Training is classroom based. All practical training is conducted in a simulated Salon Environment. Students will train and perform treatments on each other working in pairs while being fully supervised by our educators.

Assessment includes project work, demonstration of skills & participation in discussions and debates, written and oral tests and presentations.

The Training Students receive is competency-based and designed to develop industry specific practical skills and knowledge.

Resources

The Academy provides beauty supplies for all treatments (ie: wax, eyelash tint, skin care products etc library,) access to DVDs, access to computer and photocopier.

Client Day

A Student ‘Client Day’ is conducted one day every week (Friday’s) from 9.00am – 5.00pm.

Students perform treatments on clients from the public to assist them to gain experience and confidence in dealing with all aspects of a salon environment. Students perform all of this work under supervision.
